Movies and Music:

Let's first talk about The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I went to go see Douglas Adams' epic tranfered into a movie. I didn't have high hopes on some reviews I read and I'm still kind of straddling the fence on good or bad movie. I think it's somewhere in the middle. They chopped up the book tremendously and cut short every little conversation or episode, On the other hand I thought the casting was great. Each actor seemed to fit the character's but there was no character development in my mind. It's hard to be to upset cause Douglas Adams did work on the screenplay but I don't know how much it was changed since his early passing 4-5 years ago and he was unable see his project finished. Definitely could have been better. Is it worth seeing for yourself? Yes but if you've read to the prepare to be short changed and if you haven't prepare to lost cause it was very hard to follow if you haven't read the book. One thing I did enjoy was that they took clips from the audio book that I had listened to do it was familiar to me. I'm just curious what it could have been with Douglas Adams still alive and the original director they had lined up for it. Oh, and the Batman Begins Trailer that played before the movie was AWESOME!! That's gonna be kick ass.

Music time! With the huge lack of music leadership out there I am pleased to announce some of my favorite bands are coming out with New music! First up is Garbage: Bleed Like Me now out! Great album, I've always loved the sultry voice of Shirley Manson and they have come back strong with a good album. Seriously thinking of Going to Nashville Next friday to see them at the Ryman Auditorium. Anybody interested? Then coming tuesday I think is Weezer's new album!! I've heard two songs from their new album and love them both and can't wait to hear the rest of it. Lastly is the Highly anticipated return of Nine Inch Nails! I've always loved the innovation of Trent Reznor and looking forward to his next project. You can see videos for all this new music at http://video.msn.com/
