Damn you reality shows, damn you! http://www.nbc.com/Summer/ Of course I'm sure I'll be sucked in!

**** SPOILER WARNING****
Phew... Ruff day. I keep forgetting I'm not some young whipper snapper anymore and my body needs rest and recovery. Why is my ass tired as balls? midnight or rathter about 12:40am showing of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Surprisinly enough I woke up my normal time. I hadn't planned on sleeping but once the lights were out and head on pillow it was all over. Anyway, on to the movie.

I was very impressed on how everything was wrapped up. They could have dragged a few things out like Anakin turning to the dark side, it wasn't as convincing as it could have been but all in all a great finish or start :) to George Lucas' space opera. There was still some CGI Hokieness here and there but it wasn't too bad.It was very visually appealing and there was actually a story to tell and I believe it was told well. I thought I'd have a lot more to say about it but as of right now I don't. Of course, it will take a few more viewings to suck it all in and I'll probably have more to say on it when I'm watching it completely wide awake! :) Can't do them midnight things anymore.

I have to say I was quite impressed with the way the theatre handled the crowd. There was a nice long line as to be expected but the theatre did the smart thing and filled up one auditorium at a time allowing some time for concessions in between each round of entrances. I feel bad for carmike and see why they are not really a compeitor. Their preshow was just plain ole commercials that didn't even span the entire screen. I much prefer The Twenty over what carmike had to offer. First they dim the house lights as if the movie were about to begin which kinda pissed me off. Regal doesn't dim the house light till the movie is going to start! I felt I was being forced to watch the commercials. The approach is just different with Regal, They don't view it as commercials but as Pre-Show entertainment and leaving house lights on during that period gives you the option to continue talking to your neighbor or what not. Carmike tricks you into thinking the movie is about to start when the lights go down and everybody scrambles to find their seats.

Think I'll go again Friday or Saturday evening at West Town and hopefully I'll check it out at The Pinnacle when it opens in a month from today! Let me tell you, that is going to be a gorgeous theatre.

How Low can you go?
Ok, something has been bugging me for little while and since I have a little free time I thought I'd share it with you. There's this website knoxpics.org that takes and posts pictures of local events, whether you want them to or not. At first it was kinda neat, yes I just used the word neat, but now they have gone completely overboard. They are trying to sell digital picutres over the internet of people that problably don't even know they're on a website! The guy hands out his "business card" after taking somebodies picture and as far as I can see he gets no release form signed, no permission whats-so-ever. Normally I wouldn't give a shit but there are pictures of underaged children for sale on the site! Does the site get parent's permission to post and sell pictures of their children on the internet? I don't think so. Also, the .org top level domain is reserved for non-profit organizations and they are clearly trying to profit off of taking your picture. Seriously man, come on, how cheap and unprofessional can you be? and at $3.00 a photo? Come on! It's actually pretty sad if you think about it.
