ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATION DONATION
Heron Now is located in a birding and environmental paradise. The living room and deck offer panoramic views of the marsh
and bay where our guests see an abundant number of birds including osprey, heron, egrets, kingfishers, eagles, oystercatchers,
warblers, rails, and many other species. Guests can kayak or hike the adjacent Estuarine Research Reserve or the nearby St.
George State Park, both of which are Great Florida Birding Sites and excellent Spring migration fallout sites. The beautiful
white sand Gulf beach is one block away and perfect for swimming, kayaking or observing shore birds. Other nearby hotspots
include: St. Mark National Wildlife Refuge (270 bird species; 80,000 wintering ducks); Apalachicola National Forest (greatest
concentration of Red-cockaded woodpeckers); Apalachicola National Estuarine Reserve (American swallow-tailed and Mississippi
kites; a top biodiversity hotspot); and, St. Joseph State Park (Number 1 rated U.S. beach; great spot for Fall hawk and butterfly
migrations).
In order to show our appreciation for environmental paradise, the owners of Heron Now will donate 10% of the paid rental
rate to the environmental, conservation, or birding organization of your choice (it must, however, be a section 501(c)(3)
organization). We encourage guests to designate one of the following local environmental organizations: Apalachicola Bay
and River Keeper; Apalachee Ecological Conservancy; The Nature Conservancy; Florida Chapter of the Sierra Club.
Donation Procedure:
1. Send a copy of your paid rental receipt to: Heron Now

The receipt may also be faxed to: 708.848.6481
The receipt must be received by Heron Now within 4 weeks of
your departure.
2. Provide your name and address, and, if available, your fax number.
3. Provide the name of the environmental organization to which you want the donation made.
4. Provide the address and telephone number of the environmental organization (unless one of the above).
5. Within 60 days of receipt, we will donate 10% of the paid rental rate to the designated organization. Note, the 10%
will be calculated on the paid rental rate, and not upon any additional charges, such as linens or taxes.
6. At the time that the donation is mailed to the organization we will mail a copy to you.
WMNF COMMUNITY RADIO DONATION PROGRAM
Supporters of WMNF can choose to direct 10% of rental proceeds back to the radio station. The procedure is the same as
above. Please specifiy Building Fund or General Fund. This donation cannot be used in combination with any other Heron Now
donation program.
