Terry W. Sloope is the Magnolia Chapter's deranged leader. He lives in Cartersville, Georgia and works at Kennesaw State University. He is currently involved in biographical projects on the late major league slugger Rudy York, and William V. "Jumbo" Barrett, a minor league catcher from the 1920s. Terry was a contributing author to Gary Land's Growing Up With Baseball and David L. Porter's Latino and African American Athletes Today: A Biographical Dictionary. He also authored the entry for Rudy York in The New Georgia Encyclopedia, an electronic compendium of Georgia history and culture. He also is the leader and, apparently, sole member of the JSINAHOF (John Smoltz Is NOT A Hall of Famer) Society.
