Illinois Central Pullman Standard 4750 Covered Hopper 1972+
On August 10th, 1972, the IC and GM&O merged to form the Illinois Central Gulf. However, the IC was literally in the middle of receiving a 300 car order of Pullman Standard 4750 covered hoppers in August. The first 50 covered hoppers came painted in the IC Split Rail Orange. The rest would begin receiving the "New" ICG image.
These 50 4750 cu.ft. covered hoppers, numbered 765300-765349, hold the distinction of being the last new cars delivered to the IC.
These hoppers lasted through the ICG era, and through the 1990s. This decal set includes all of the data you need to decal one car. It is designed to be used with the HO Intermountain PS 4750 Covered Hopper.
