Assistant Directors

This will be our last article as Assistant Chapter Directors. First I would like to thank each of you who helped us through this last year. We have enjoyed our time of comradery, the rides, the good food, and the friendship from each of our Chapter T members. We have lost
some of our members, Forrest, Sherry, Buddy, and they are very much missed but fondly remembered. We had a good rally in May. There was a lot of hard work by all of us but a good time of fellowship too. We have had some great rides lead by lots of different members. Tom and Ann have done a great job with every ride or project they have taken over. As a Chapter we can be proud of the way we all work together. We didn't collect enough food for three families as I had hoped but we did get enough for two. We had a $15 gift card for the turkeys given to us by Sweetbay Markets. We took the food to the Family Resource Center on the Wed. before Thanksgiving for them
to deliver to the families. When I walked in, I was met by Ginger West. She was so pleased to have the extra food. She had a young lady with young children who had come down to Florida the week before because her father was going to help her get on her feet. Her father had a heart attack and passed away two days after she arrived. This young lady was on her way to pick up food from the Resource Center when someone hit her and destroyed her car. That young lady received one of the boxes of food from Chapter T. You "do" make a difference in someone's life when you give to others. Thank you for your support in this effort for the community.
