Due to the economic struggles we are all facing, we have decided not to raise tuition for our 2009 summer programs.

Three one-week sessions designed for the enjoyment of young students offer an integration of various creative art forms. In a fun and nurturing environment students expand their artistic talent through the exploration of dance, music, drama and art, Students will participate in three classes per day and are welcome to enroll in one, two or three weeks.

Maximum enrollment per session 12 students




Dance and Performance Workshops - Levels 1 and 2

RSB offers two fun and exciting workshops designed to enrich and inspire young students through dance, theater, music, art, and literature. In addition to a daily ballet class, each distinct workshop offers a variety of classes that may include modern and jazz technique as well as African, Classical Indian, international folk dance, drama, and art. Each week culminates with an in-studio performance for family and friends.

July 13th - 17th Dance around the World -- Monday-Friday 9:00am-1:00pm
People dance everywhere in the world. With culturally specific music and movement this workshop explores different dance styles from several different continents.

August 10th - 14th Nutcracker in August -- Monday-Friday 9:00am-1:00pm
Experience your favorite holiday tale in the middle of the summer.

One Week: $230 Two Weeks: $435

Advanced Intensive Half Day

Get ready for summer intensives or fall classes with daily classes in classical ballet and pointe.

June 15th - 19th --- Monday - Friday 10:00am - 1:00pm

August 17th - 21st -- Monday - Friday 12:30pm - 3:30pm (time change)

Tuition: One Week: $175, Two Weeks $315




Intensive Summer Study
Audition Required
Ages 10 and up

For the serious student intensive summer study is an integral part of their training. This concentrated program is designed to challenge, encourage and heighten the enjoyment of dance as a classic art form. Depending on the dancer's level, weekly technique classes include ballet, pointe, variations, modern, jazz and character dance. Survey classes include pilates, yoga, nutrition, music, and dance history. A minimum of two weeks is recommended for the Intermediate 2 and Advanced programs..

For your convenience, during the Intensive Summer Study program, the School opens at 8:30am and closes at 5:30pm.

On I-440 take Exit #3 (Hillsborough Street). Turn left at bottom of ramp. Turn right on first street on right, Beryl Road and continue to bear right. Our building (red and gray block) is on the left immediately after passing the small post office.
Placement/Audition: (Non-RSB students only) If a placement class or audition is recommended or required for a session in which you are interested, please call the office, (919) 834-9261, for details. Video tapes are accepted.
Fees and Payment Schedule: 50% of total tuition due at registration. Balance due first day of class. 10% Sibling Discount
In-Family Housing: Out-of-town students may request in-family housing with a Raleigh School of Ballet student. Every effort is made to match age and interests. Cost is $175 per week and is due when housing is confirmed.
