is currently forming as of November 2004 to serve the Covington / Mandeville / Lacombe / Slidell areas.

LA5 is based out of Fire Station #121 (115 Northpork
Boulevard in Covington, 70433). Monthly meetings are held every 2nd Thursday at Station #121,
6pm. Ride to Dine afterwards. Our tentative 2007 schedule is: TBD. To join our next meeting,
call Paul or Joe at the numbers listed above.

Pay up! Your 2007 dues are due no later than March 1, 2007. If you havent paid, please contact Joe Ard, Terry Sturad or Bob Hecker. The fee is $25.

The "Bottom Rockers" are in! For those of you
that have paid for patches at the last meeting, we will pick them up for you. Main Patch set is $15 (Top Rocker, Maltese

1/21/07 LIFESAVERS!
The Red Knights LA5 Covington Chapter recently hosted a Heart Saver CPR and First Aid program for ABATE Northshore Chapter.
LA5 Secretary Bob Hecker and Ride Captain Steve Billman, both Paramedic Instructors, taught 13 members life saving procedures
and "Biker Down" first aid until the ambulance arrives. This is a pilot program and will be released to the ABATE chapters
in the near future. The Red Knights are proud to help our fellow club members and carry on the safety and "Ride Safely"
spirit of our organization. Contact Bob Hecker for guidance on setting up your own program.

If you are a MANDEVILLE / COVINGTON / SLIDELL FIREFIGHTER
(active full- or part-time, volunteer, military, industrial, retired, disabled or honorary) with an interest in motorcycling
and access to a bike, we invite you to join LA5!
As a qualified Firefighter, you may also SPONSOR your spouse, children, friends
and significant others for membrship.
Members are free to participate at any level in our chapter activities, which include:
- Monthly meetings to catch up on current club events.
- RKMC and Open Group rides coordinated at least once a month.
- Social events, RKMC mixers and other club-related parties and get-togethers.
- Hosting fundraising events to help out community members in need.
- Providing volunteer services for many prominent local motorcycle events (Steel Pony
Express, Louisiana Bike Expo, etc.)
