Nova is a very unique horse. I have worked with Nova for the past 4 1/2 years. I have owned him the last
4 years. Nova came to me to be trained to drive. Once I started working with this little horse, he took up a big
place in my heart. Nova is not your backyard driving horse, he is a hot little horse with lots of get up and go.
You had better be driving the minute you get in the cart, because he is ten steps ahead of you. I have had Nova in the
show ring and he does very well. He constantly gets compliments for the judges, especially in how he moves.
But as I stated Nova is unique. I took him to the vet to see if something was wrong with his eyes. One day
Nova ran into a wall, like he didn't see it. Well come to find out he sees shadows out of one of his eyes. You
can't tell it by looking at him though. I took Nova out of the show ring for a year and spent lots of time, just
getting him to really trust me. Nova and I have built a bond that will last a lifetime. Nova will give me 110%
everytime I ask him to do something. He melts at the praise he gets, as if he lives for it. Nova is a spitting
image of his sire JJ Hot Shot, who is now deceased. I really have to watch Nova as he won't tell me when he is tired
or if he is hurting, this is something that his sire was also known for. These little horses give you their whole heart.
Nova will be with me until the day he passes.
Nova is now showing in Halter, Showmanship, Driving, Jumping, Halter Obstalce, Driving Obstacle, and CDE Driving.
He will drive with or without blinders. His most favorite thing is driving out on the military land, or out in the bird
farm. He loves to go driving in the country. Nova is also boss over my stallion, so they run together in
the pasture and Nova keeps him in line.
I have also worked with many of Nova's siblings, and they are all eager to learn their jobs. Most all of them are
good with the youth working them. And they just have a way about them. Each one has their own personality.
Nova will always be in my heart forever. Thank you Nova for being a great friend.
