Suffolk Punch Draft Horses are one of the great secrets of the horse world. Never bred for showiness or
grandiosity, these horses were bred by the farmers of Suffolk, England to work. They were selected for strength, not
height, making harnessing easy and plowing or raking more efficient. Without feathering on their fetlocks, their
feet are easy to keep clean in mud and clay and their compact size and frugal nature makes them a horse that does not eat
more food than they help raise. Above all, they were bred to be gentle hard workers. These horses are an excellent
breed.
Additionally, crosses of Suffolk sires on Warmblood or Thoroughbred mares make a graceful, well sized, and gentle
Hunter Jumper or a stout and steady riding horse. We are very proud to raise, train, work and sell these wonderful
horses.
