This is a beach launch in north Broward county, just south of the Pompano Fishing Pier. The lifeguard indicated that the allowable launching area is south of Atlantic Blvd, essentially outside the public beach area.
Directions: Take Exit 36 from I-95 East on Atlantic Blvd. Keep going until you see the ocean. Cross A1A. There is a small parking lot just to your left. There is more parking to the north, but you can't launch a kayak there if the lifeguards are watching. Get there early, as otherwise you probably will not find a space.
Entrance fee/parking: $1.00 per hour metered parking, takes coins.

Put-in/Take-out: Sand
Route: Anywhere in the Atlantic Ocean you wish to go. The Hillsboro inlet is about 1.5 miles to the north. There is a reefline marked by white anchor buouys 1/3 mile off the beach, shallow enough for snorkeling.
