Dynon D-10 Magnetometer Mount I have the Dynon D-10 as my primary flight instrument and I love it. One question which comes up a lot is where/ how to mount the external magnetometer. It must be aligned more or less perfectly with the aircraft centerline. Here is what I cam up with. The bracket was made from some scrap .063 Al which was laying around. It is riveted to the top skin/ J-stringers using the existing rivet locations. It is hard to see from the pictures but it is about 12 inches aft of the baggage bulkhead. It is easy to get the angle of the bracket pretty close, then shim it with washers and brass tubing to get it exact. Use brass hardware of course, available from the hardware store. A digital Smart Level really helps.
