Cowl Camlocks

After watching a few other builders struggle with getting their cowls on and off, I decided to scrap the cheap Van's hinge pin method of attaching the cowl, and spent the bucks on Skybolt C-Locs.  This turned out to be the second best expensive accessory on the plane (the best being, of course, Oregon Aero seats.)

I used the adjustable C-Loc kit from Skybolt.  They are pricey, but well worth it.   A common question is how the joint between the upper/ lower cowl is reinforced, and there are several pics of how I did this on the plenum page.

I don't know if they still do, but when I bought mine, Skybolt had a pretty good airshow special during the major airshows, about 30% off.  Their kits come complete with all the parts, installation tools and templates, and good instructions.  Highly Recommended.
