The Lord is good!

July 27, 07
There is no doubt when you garden that you are working hand in hand with the Lord to bring a harvest of produce. Yellow crookneck squash, zucchini, green beans, eggplant, banana peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, purple hull peas, cantaloupe, bell peppers, eggs from our chickens and milk from our Nubian Goat.  All chemical free and naturally grown!  What a mighty God we serve!!!!

Be diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.
Proverbs 27: 23

New items from our Farm and Garden this week:

There seem to be but three ways for a nation to acquire wealth.  The first is by war, as the Romans did, in plundering their neighbors.  This is robbery.  The second by commerce, which is generally cheating.  The third is by agriculture, the only honest way, wherein man receives a real increase of the seed thrown into the ground, in a kind of continual miracle, wrought by the hand of God in his favor, as reward for his innocent life and his virtuous industry.  ~ Benjamin Franklin

This section of our Burrell Family websites is going to be devoted to our efforts of raising livestock and gardening.  We feel the Lord has made it clear that we are to be responsible to provide food for our family.
