The rally is set for October 29-31 at Laguna Seca Recreation Area. The park is located in the rolling hills midway between Salinas and Monterey; close enough to see the scenenic sites of Monterey while enjoying the country scenery of Laguna Seca.
The Chaparral Group Campground area offers the best views of the entire RV area. There are 82 RV pads, many big enough to accommodate the longer RVs. Hook-ups are water and electricity with a dump-station at the park.
Two handicap sites are extra-big and conveniently located near the Group Building. Restrooms and shower buildings are within a short walk. Group Building has heating and air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen area, tables and chairs to seat 100, a TV/VCR and drop-down projection screen. Outside there is a full-size BBQ, picnic tables and night lighting.

October means beautiful weather on the Monterey Bay. Cool nights, warm days and no fog. Saturady is the activity day and there are hundreds of possibilites. A few things everyone SHOULD see are the Monterey Bay Aquarium, 17 Mile Drive, Point Lobos, and Big Sur.
For hiking; Point Lobos, Elkhorn Slough, Carmel Valley, and Big Basin are but a few of the possible beautiful hiking areas. For biking; there are numerous bike paths along the coast, such as the ones in Monterey, Pacific Grove, and Santa Cruz. Popular mountain biking trails can be found at the old Fort Ord, the Forest of Nisene Marks, and Mt. Madonna Park. Kayaking is excellent on the Elkhorn Slough and Monterey Bay. And for kids there is the ever popular Santa Cruz Beach Board Walk and the Mystery Spot.
