"Next of Kin" will next be seen as an official selection
at Los Angeles' Pan-African Film Festival, screening there on Wednesday, February 15 at 2:55pm (for more information, go to
www.paff.org). "Next of Kin" will also be an official selection of Toronto's ReelWorld Film Festival, April 19-23, 2006 (www.reelworld.ca).
"Next of
Kin" won the Best Directorial Debut award across all categories for Stephen Collins at the Rhode Island International
Film Festival last August. It was also an official 2005 selection of the Los Angeles International
Short Film Festival, The Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films, The Austin Film Festival, and The Williamstown
Film Festival.
The film stars Adam Nelson
and Nelsan Ellis, the cinematographer is Ronald E. High and the editor is Janet Weinberg. "Next of Kin" runs 18 minutes and
is available for screening in DVD, Digi Beta Cam, or HD Cam format.
