Rylee’s
Grampa’s Friends

My
Grampa and I
like to sing and dance together.
My Grampa’s long name is Paul Stark.
He plays records on a radio show and has lots of friends
who
write songs and
play music on their guitars.
Most of the times that his friends play music for other people,
it’s at music clubs,
theaters and
bars.
My Grampa thought it might be fun to invite our friends to have a party
on a
nice fall morning and play fun music for kids and their families.
Grampa's
friends at KDHX Harvest Sessions Concert Series
and The Tower Grove Farmer's Market asked if this year,
could we again have our party with them?
He said that sounded like a great idea,
we always have fun at our local farmers market.
My
Grampa says it
feels good to help people, too.
We
heard about a place called Camp Sunrise at
Trout Lodge YMCA Camp where each summer,
kids who have cancer meet to spend a weekend playing.
Sometimes I get sick and I don’t like it.
But when I get sick, its only for a few days.
The
kids who visit at Camp Sunrise are sick a lot of the time,
and when they go to camp they get to do lots of fun stuff
that helps them feel better.
When we have this year's party, we’re going to ask people who come
to
help with donations to send kids to Camp Sunrise.
My
Grampa and me
hope that you can come out and sing and play with us
on September 26.
I know we’ll have fun.
Love,
Rylee
and her
Grampa.
