Red Head Scarf Pattern

--Divider--

this is my version of the 60's triangle scarf from frugal knitting haus. I used the stitch pattern from the Close Fitting Tank Top in the premier issue of KnitIt. All the decreses give the pattern a zig zaggy effect.

*
Materials- One skien of worsted weight yarn. I used bright red RedHeart. One pair size 10 straight needles.

*
Gauge isnt really important since this is a sort of guess as you go thing.
Cast on a Multiple of 4 st+1. I cast on 85, but do whatever you think will fit nicely around your head.
P two rows
begin pattern:
Rw 1(rs):(k3,p1) across ending k1
Rw 2: P1, P2tog, P to last three stitches, P2tog, P1
Rw 3:*k1, p1; rep from * across ending last rep k1, P1, k3
Rw 4:P1, P2tog, P to last three stitches, P2tog, P1

Continue this pattern until you have two stitches remaining on needle. Bind off one stitch. Pull yar through, weave in ends.

Ties: Cast on any number of stitches long enough to make the right size ties for your headscarf. Do not knit, but bind off all stitches

*
There you go! Easy peasy! Just in time for summer!
