Jessicah

Ah, yes, the light of my life (don't tell my husband). Jessicah Charann Strassburg was born in May of 1989, making her 14 years old. Going on 24. Watching her grow and turn from a infant to a young lady has been an experience, to say the least. One that wasn't expected - Jesse is adopted.
I was lucky enough to be her birth-mother's labor coach, and she's been "mine" since the moment she plopped, screaming, into my arms. But she was definitely not expected. (She spent the first week of her life sleeping in a dresser drawer.)
In thinking about what to write in this biography, I was truly in doubt. What to say? Tell the world all the hysterically funny things she's said ? Or done? Or describe my hopes and dreams for her ? Tell how difficult parenting is? Or how enjoyable? What a change she has made in my life? Show pictures ? Describe the pedestal she lives on? I'll put more thought into it and fill in the details. Soon. Naw, probably not. She's a teenager - it varies from moment to moment on whether I put her on a pedestal, or bury her in the backyard. (Kidding! ... mostly)
Jess has gone through tremendous changes - puberty is hitting and something is changing on a daily basis. I am stilled pleased and proud to say that she is still a wonderful, thoughtful, generous child. But that attitude!
There's really no reason for this paragraph. I just wanted the world to see how beautiful my daughter is!
