By the moone we sport and play,
With the night begins our day;
As we dance, the dew doth fall;
Trip it little urchins all,
Lightly as the little Bee,
Two by two and three by three:
And about go wee, and about go wee.
~William Shakespeare

So many kinds of fae folk

There are as many types of faerie as there are flowers, or stars. I have found a site that explains these better than I could ever hope to. Asrai has created a safe haven for faerie and human alike. Follow the link to her home and learn who you are sharing your life with (whether you know it or not). If you visit these three sites, you will come away with more information than you know.
A great source of information, dedicated to the living fae. Kris has done an admirable job of describing the faerie houses.
Some say that a faerie is a fallen angel, which may be true, as a faerie is certainly not angelic..~Asrai
The Fairy Faith concentrates on the history of the fae, from a bit of a different perspective. But be careful - there's so much here you could get lost!
Fairy Amber has a nice garden section that I referred to when planning my own garden.
There were two fairy sites that were absolutely incredible. Alas, they have dropped off the face of the earth. If anyone knows where the Wandering Faerie, or Blue Pixie is, please tell me!
