The Angels Were Generous

Lost

Lost in this world, I sought another,
Searching for a place to belong:
An anchor to hold me tethered,
For my need to wander was strong.

I soon discovered my brand-new world,
Only to find I was lost there, too:
Around me the confusion whirled,
Without anchor, I spun anew.

My search for a place won’t continue,
For I know I will not fit in:
My need for an anchor is through,
I have found my tethers within.
