The Angels Were Generous

What Will You Do?

I ask you now what you will do,
My fading friend of magic fae,
When heathens voice with feeble cry
And know enough to call your name?

To close the door with turn of screw
And lock them in forever day?
To claim defeat with heavy sigh
And tell me humans all the same?

Or will you wait for chosen few
Who wish and hope for you to stay?
Who on your graces must rely,
They know from whence the magic came.

For there are those who wait for you
We keep the faith and never stray
We look for you in twilight sky
In peace we play our life's long game

I ask you now what you will do,
My fading friend of magic fae,
When heathens voice with feeble cry
And know enough to call your name?
