How ugly are those dresses?

I need to scan in our fabric samples, etc. As my mother would say, "The good Lord willing and the creek don't rise." And they weren't ugly! These designs are beautiful (mostly Italian Renaissance).

What we decided to do was have a set of colors and fabrics. The attendants would choose period clothing that suited them (I wanted them to wear them afterward!).

I wore silver battered satin, with highlights of plum. Jamie wore teal velvet with gold and plum trimming. The best lady and the best man had mostly plum with highlights of fresh spring green. And the other attendants were reversed, spring greens with highlights of plum.
