My friend Helen runs a wonderful PLOG which she calls her Cat-a-Plog . Not only is she a web master, and wonderful photographer, but she puts her skills to work for the Peninsula Friends of Animals' SafeHaven shelter in Sequim, WA where she photographs and publicizes the many cats up for adoption.

At SafeHaven, 10 cats share rooms with outside pens. Here are 5 room mates enjoying the sun and fresh air. Helen knows them all and tells me you are looking at Dandelion-(gray ), Mostus -( the orange), and the three black- Comet, Ginger and Thistle. These cats are well cared for, and live relatively happy lives. But it is sad that there have to be shelters at all. If we humans would spay and neuter our pets, we might not have such an oversupply.
