Starburst over Fremont St.

It looks like a scene from a Godzilla film, crowds staring wild eyed at the sky, starbursts overhead.
It actually is the light show over Fremont St. in Las Vegas. Fremont St. is a street of casinos, some distance away from the famous "strip". But who would go to Fremont St. to gamble when you could be dazzled by the glitz in the strip?
So they came up with the idea of the light show. The street is roofed over with a metal grid canopy, and every evening, on the hour, visitors are treated to a free music and light show. It is fantastic, beautiful. It lasts 8 minutes. Then, the visitors drawn to the area by the light show have 52 minutes to go in and play the slots before the next show begins.
