PARIS, March 2004

You shake your head. "That is a crazy time to go to Paris" you say. It certainly wasn't "April in Paris". It was cold and grey and rainy. Pittsburgh is like that. We're used to it

We missed the sunshine but we also missed the crowds, the lines, the high prices, the surly waiters.
I didn't have to worry about a citified wardrobe - I covered my old clothes with a warm raincoat! And all the Parisians we encountered were gracious, polite and very patient with my attempts at French. Another worry nullified.
