| Store long stock in storage tubes made from scrap items you may have. I built four of these storage tubes, one for push-rods, one for dowel, one for solid rod, and one for metal tubes. The storage tubes were made from leftover clear vinyl 2" tube from the dust collector installation, scraps of 1"x4" borgstuff, and hot glue. PVC pipe and heavy mailing tubes should work nicely, as well. | |
| 1" dimensional lumber is actually 3/4" thick. The wood was counter-bored 1/2" with a Forstner bit to make a socket in which the tube seats. Drive the tube in place, run a bead or three of hot glue, and that's one shop organizational chore done for good. | |
