Even with a decent dust collector system and a shop air filter, there will be some percentage
of dust which manages to evade capture.
A good filtered respirator is a must for those with dust allergies and for those who have
any sort of respiratory problem. Balsa dust is one of the finest dusts imaginable, and you
don't want that stuff inside you - your body doesn't know what to do with balsa dust any more than
it knows what to do with other airborne contaminants.
"Throw-away" paper masks like those sold in home improvement stores simply don't do the job.
