| The internals of the down-draft box are the pick-up tube and dividers.
The pick-up tube can be anything handy; PVC tubing, copper tubing, whatever you can get cheaply or gratis;
I used leftover clear vinyl tubing from the dust collector system installation.
The holes for the pick-up tube must align when the box is assembled and they must also fit the tube snugly. A hole saw will suffice if it is deep enough, but a Forstner bit is ideal.
