| Scale hinge installation on a 33% Extra 230, during airframe construction. The hinge pivot line is recessed into the round leading edge, and the recess is cut to allow hinge point clearance. Note the very small gap between the fin trailing edge and the round rudder leading edge. This is exactly what the hinge setup looks like on the prototype (full-size) aircraft.
