| In this view the wing is bottom-up on the bench, with the aileron at the bottom and the wing at the top. Frise ailerons are very different from conventional ailerons, and include a longish tube to attach the hinge into the wing. In the Balsa USA 1/3 scale Piper Cub Frise aileron option, the hinge tube runs at an angle up through the wing trailing edge and into the wing rear main spar. |
