| In this view the wing is bottom-up on the bench, with the aileron to the right. The aileron is deflected down, as it would be to raise the wing during flight. The geometry of the Frise aileron should be obvious, and note that the aileron leading edge is well above the bottom of the wing. The gap is not sealed on the bottom, but is is enclosed on the the top by an extension of the wing upper surface. |
