Authentic Self is the
counseling and teaching ministry of Amy Pierce, an ordained Minister in Integrative Healing located in North Carolina's
Research Triangle region. Amy's focus is on facilitating the integration of one's Spirit with one's spirituality or religion, resulting
in the practical integration of both within one's daily walk through Life. In other words, her work allows the full
integration of spirit, mind, and body so that one is living not only authentically, but also has the capacity and choice to
live from the Higher, or Authentic Self.
In her words, "For most of us, the everydayness of life takes precedence over our spiritual
development. When forced to confront change in its many forms - a new relationship or job,
a move, grief, the birth of a child, divorce, loss, chronic
illness or pain - we can quickly find we lack the practical spiritual
framework needed to carry us through those changes.
To come more fully to Life, what is often
required is a compassionate witnessing, acknowledgment, and honoring of the whole person, wounds to wings. Within such an
environment, one may begin living from Authentic Self, that greater-than-me vessel we are forever possessed by, yet often not fully aware of or living from consciously.
