Amy is currently offering two workshops, "Walking The Circle: The Five Elements of Chinese Medicine Applied to Daily
Life" and "All Sickness Is Homesickness: Living and Dying Into Wholeness."
|

|
Amy's presentations/workshops have been well-received at numerous venues in the Triangle, ranging from churches and hospitals
to Body, Mind, & Spirit Expos. The two may be offered individually or together. Costs for either/both are relative to
the venue and are negotiable. Please read the comments from particpants following the descriptions below.
"Walking the Circle: The Five Elements of Chinese
Medicine Applied to Daily Life"
This presentation is a one-and-a-half to two-hour participatory experience in which those in attendance are taught to
recognize, utilize, and apply the "Gifts of The Five," both personally and with others, as a means of shifting from
small-minded thinking/acting to large-minded thinking/acting. These "gifts"--the qualities, emotions, & resources
of the 5 Elements of Chinese Medicine--are always available and can be used to facilitate movement around stuck places and
issues. Participants will receive handouts to use at home or work and will experience the "walk" itself. "Walking
The Circle" may be presented as part of a Health and Wellness day or as a stand-alone offering.
"All Sickness is Homesickness:
Living and Dying Into Wholeness"
This presentation is a one-to-two hour offering based on the truth that wholeness is always present, even in the midst
of dis-ease and death. Participants explore pain, symptom, illness, and injury as a call home to Self, to the Wholeness that
is a given, no matter how Life is showing up. Focusing on the relationship between emotions and health, the ways one can use
emotional clearing to shift distress, and our perception of ourselves in the midst of illness, "All Sickness is Homesickness"
can be useful as part of an overall Health and Wellness day or as a stand-alone offering.
Writing tools required.

Amy's offerings have been found to be tremendously beneficial, as attested to by those who have attended one or both of the
presentations.
"I can use this in my life right now. I plan to try to follow the information you have shared with us."
"Amy's insightfulness was obvious as she chose how to proceed and which points to make within the five element context.
The depth of knowledge that undergirded her choices and that she had at her command to share about the five elements was truly
impressive."
"I like learning different ways of viewing life. This is another insight into living a meaningful life."
"Walking the circle helped me feel grounded and able to look at each element as a tool to reach a higher level of
understanding. It down right felt good. That's southern for I liked it."
"Refreshing - want to EXPERIENCE more of this; wish I had been the 'guinea pig'!"
"The value of the material for me lay in its pertinence to healing life's hurts, especially those of childhood. This
is a subject I never hear enough about, and which I trust I'll be able to use in my pastoral counseling with folks. Amy, you're
an excellent speaker, and clearly an integrating human being. Your authenticity is obvious as you speak, and your presentation
style is non-threatening and supportive to your listeners. As a speaker, YOU listen well, too. I felt like you were really
interested in hearing OUR perceptions about what you were talking about."
"Gave permission to look at emotions in more positive ways, to look at the future through all the Elements, to take
care of myself in order to help others, to be more aware of life in all its aspects."
"I want to change some relationships by being more
present with [them] and stop reacting."
"Working with the 5 elements was enlightening to me and made so much sense. Your understanding of them is remarkable,
and how to use them very helpful. Your words held much wisdom and truth for me, and you were able to lead me to my own understanding
of my issues. Thank you
for your gentle guidance."
"It continued the process of opening my mind to a broader and deeper understanding of spirituality and human behavior."
"I walked the Circle with Amy with an opening heart around standing tall in my authenticity, my knowing that I am
deserving and worthy by the very fact that I AM. As she asked me the questions related to each element, I was able to listen
to my answers, to let myself be supported by her presence, and encouraged to 'go deeper.' I was able to apply the strength
and clarity gained by the process of walking with Amy. She was gentle, sure, and very present."
