"Through working closely with Amy in a
major community endeavor, I came to know her as a very bright and multi-talented, yet genuinely humble and deeply spiritual,
person. I have been privileged through a continuing friendship to share her journey toward the calling for which I believe
she is superbly gifted and prepared: Spiritual Counseling.
Amy has suffered major emotional pain in her life, and
she now suffers with potentially debilitating physical pain. She has found healing for the emotional pain and learned to live
heroically with the physical pain largely, I think, because she has discovered her own 'authentic self.' More than any other
person I have known, Amy seems continuously aware of her own and our connections to the entire universe and to the creating,
loving life-force that is everywhere present. It is by living out of that connection that she has found 'the innate spiritual
alignment that is our birthright, assuring our trust, safety and peace, no matter the outer circumstance,' her definition
of authentic self.
In what I refer to as her 'natural healing presence,' Amy has an extraordinary ability to awaken
in others an awareness of the fundamental spiritual quality of all creation and to help them experience that ever-near and
loving presence that I call God, and that she, in respect of all religious orientations, allows others to name for themselves.
Whenever I enter into conversation with Amy, regardless of the purpose or the starting point, without exception, I find myself
feeling closer to God.
To this remarkable giftedness, Amy has added disciplined study and hard work to prepare superbly
for the ministry of spiritual counseling. I would be pleased to entrust myself to Amy's care or to recommend her as a counselor
to those dearest to me."
