Conversations About Authentic Self, the Universal Child of Consciousness

I Am a Spark of the Divine.
I choose to live as if
the God in all Life matters.

Conversations About Authentic Self is the interactive primer I wish I'd had three decades ago when I began my spiritual journey in earnest. Oh, well! Here it is for you, a distillation into seven parts of those 30-plus years of spiritual study, education, and personal healing work. The series is designed to provide you with the same ways and means that I have used to embody and live (most of the time) from the Higher Self.

With Oneness as the container, these nuts-and-bolts teachings can allow one to leave behind forever the subtle and not so subtle expressions of the World’s Great Lie, that we are not worthy. They are also what enabled me, in 2002 at age 50, to unexpectedly return to school for a Master’s degree in Applied Healing Arts and to later become an ordained Minister in Integrative Healing.

The Five Topics

Through these seven conversations (covering five topics every other week), you will be introduced to the in-depth and practical ways and means of healing the the World's Great Illusion, which is our common belief in separation from each other and separation from Source/Tao/God-Goddess/All That Is. It is this belief in separation that creates ALL personal and global suffering.

When utilized, the steps, tools, practices, and ways of being that comprise this “story big enough to live in” known as Authentic Self will allow a daily walk as this Universal Child of Consciousness, that literal aspect of the Divine that is uniquely you. This walk will likely remain a "walk in progress" for the rest of your earthly life.

Authentic Self: The Story Big Enough to Live In . . . Defines Authentic Self as being the spark of the Divine that lives as us. This conversation provides our "for the sake of,” the "why it matters" that we take responsibility for doing our personal healing work. The following three topics are our "center" conversations comprising the integrated and inseparable aspects of what I call "healing the holdings of the heart." These are the aspects that I've culled thus far from my three decades of spiritual study and personal healing practices.

New Wine or Old Wine Skins: Symptom, Illness, and the Emotional Body . . . Acknowledges and supports the necessity for emotional clearing - and the commitment to doing that emotional clearing in an ongoing way - so that the body can be the body and not have to do the job of the emotions. In other words, the knee can continue being the knee rather than being forced to abnegate that role to become the energy repository of the beating, the failed relationship, the rape. . .  Equally important is the willingness to view illness as an invitation of the soul to find ways of responding to Life and what It brings so that meaning is created and sustained, and so that “poetry might be made of our lives.”

As a Man Thinketh in His Heart: The Deeper Meaning of the Law of Attraction . . . Addresses alignment of Mind with Heart as a result of emotional clearing work and re-evaluating our mis-beliefs and thoughts. This then allows the Law of Creation, commonly called the Law of Attraction, to operate through our intention rather than by default. Utilizes what I have determined to be the “Seven Facets of Healing," as well as what I call the "universal glue," which is the relationship between the spiritual energy of Giving and Receiving.

The Other Trinity: Inner Child/Re-parenting . . . Opens possibilities for creating an environment in spirit, mind, and body for the arising of love for oneself as a Child of the Creator, which creates the fertile ground upon which all other healing work can land. Such self love cannot help but result naturally through our willingness to create a healing relationship with the wounded Inner Child. As that Child is healed, the perceived split between our Creator and us is healed. When this happens, we no longer believe what I call The World's Great Lie - that we are not worthy - which is held in place by two other insidious beliefs - we're not lovable enough and we're not good enough.

Is it About What We Expect of Life or What Life Expects of Us? . . . While pain and a certain amount of suffering are inevitable in life, excess suffering is optional. Our final Conversation asks and answers the questions, "What meaning might there be made out of unavoidable pain or suffering?" and "How might I be truly present to that suffering, whether in myself or another?"
