No short cuts. Now we are doing the same for the regular BMW R1200GS (not Adventure). The WindStrom® Manta-GS clearly shows the design heritage of the previous WindStrom family. The overall quality, function, noise reduction and wind protection should be to all BMW customers very satisfying. We agree, our solution is "different": high-tech simple, very functional.  We deliver all WindStrom® windshield kits with hardware pre-assembled for fast mounting. Our windshields are one-by-one custom built in the USA based on the highest grade aircraft-quality and high-impact acrylics that are with 6.2 mm thickness the absolute sturdiest windshields in the entire industry. Remember, custom built and quality is not "cheap", but we feel we offer a unique product that is "reasonable" for what it offers. Our goal is to work with our customers on a 1:1 basis, and we have proven this with great effort and success to make WindStrom® the winning windshield for the Suzuki V-Strom.  The BMW R1200GS screen is technologically based on the WindStrom® Manta. It utilizes BMW OEM mounting hardware and a custom designed very sturdy WindStrom® mounting bracket to fit the specific needs of the R1200GS. It is adjustable just like the OEM screen and is about +7 inches (+17 cm) taller than the stock screen height. The WindStrom® Manta-GS is over-all about 10 inches (25 cm) wider than stock with its spoiler wings but is in nature actually smaller than it looks in some pictures.  With proper windshield angle and adjustment the WindStrom® Manta-GS does not even interfere at full left and right handlebar-lock with the OEM plastic hand guards. WindStrom offers three windshield sizes for different riding styles and different height riders. There is no need looking through the screen to get the benefits of nice wind protection. regular Manta is already a great
improvement over the stock screen and it works for about 90% of
our customers, but it really depends on the individual what the "level"
of protection he/she is looking for. The latest development
is the "TS Option"
(integrated TopSpoiler) which is our
final solution. It really can't get better on the V-Strom,
unless you'd like to ride in a car... ;-)
  The slide-on TS* (*patent pending*) is a custom built option, and available for US119.00 + $6.95 S/H. It is ONLY for owners of original WindStrom® windshields and not for sale to the general public. We have several customers on 02/03 and 04/05 WindStroms with the TS option and the feedback is "phenomenal" as they say it lift's comfort up to "Goldwing level" without having a barn door or a second grade laminar lip on the bike.
