Force of Nature ~ Celebrating the
Earth is a program of beautiful and contrasting music written by 20th and 21st century composers honoring the spirit
of the natural world. The concert features composers from Israel, Japan, Hungary, Britain, and North America and settings
of poetry by Emily Dickinson, Christina Rossetti, James Agee, e.e. cummings, William Shakespeare, and ancient Chinese poetry
from the 8th and 11th centuries. Conducted by Cynthia Powell, Artistic Director

is Life - Kenya, a not-for-profit organization devoted to bringing resources, supplies, equipment and expertise to complete
new wells in drought-stricken areas. Water is Life - Kenya was founded and is run by Joyce Tannian, a former Melodia
singer, now living in Kenya.
