Youth Choir Tour 2006 is the primary activity for this academic year.  The focus for the choir tour will be our mission activities in Greenwood, SC at the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, as well as a possible concert in Savannah, GA at a homeless shelter. 

Our two choirs, the Youth Choir from Greenwood Forest Baptist Church and Voices on the Hill from University Baptist Church in Chapel Hill are looking forward to joining together in this undertaking.  This is a rare opportunity for our youth to stand alongside each other as friends as we reach out together to other youth, whose life situation may not be as fortunate as our own.  We will be able to learn what it means to be a friend and to worship together, across lines of class and race.  While we may never be able to solve all of the world’s problems, we can each make a difference where we are.  This is one of the main teachings of Jesus, and is central to what being a Christian is all about.
